Myanmar, Burma. Bagan. Buddha Statue, Ananda Temple, teak covered with gold leaf. The Buddha is making the dhammachakka mudra, the hand gesture symbolizing the Buddha's first sermon. This is the Buddha on the north side of the temple, dating back to when the temple was built between 1090 and 1105.
