Myanmar, Burma. Bagan.  Buddha Statue, Ananda Temple, teak covered with gold leaf.  The Buddha's hands are in the abhaya mudra position, outstretched in the gesture of fearlessness.  This is the Buddha on the west side of the temple, an 18th-century replacement of the original.  The temple was built between 1090 and 1105.
