Mudayrib, Oman, Arabian Perninsula, Middle East - These Omani men and boys are sitting on a hillside to watch camel races taking place down below. All are wearing the traditional men's robe, a dishdasha. Boys wear the traditional embroidered hat, the kumma; men wear the traditional turban, the msarr or massar. Boys hold gifts they have received for the Eid al-Adha (Feast of the Sacrifice), the annual feast through which Muslims commemorate God's mercy in allowing Abraham to sacrifice a ram instead of his son, to prove his faith.
