Antigua, Guatemala. An alfombra (carpet) of flowers, pine needles, and other traditional materials decorates the street in advance of the passage of a procession during Holy Week, La Semana Santa. The alfombra will be finished only a couple of hours before the passage of the procession, after which the remains will be quickly swept away by municipal street sweepers.
