Antigua, Guatemala. Working on an alfombra (carpet) of colored sawdust decorating the street in advance of the passage of a procession during Holy Week, La Semana Santa. The alfombra will be finished only a couple of hours before the passage of the procession, after which the remains will be quickly swept away by municipal street sweepers. A fine mist of water is sprayed on the carpet, to keep the sawdust in place and bring out the colors.
