Cultural Syncretism.  St. Mary's Anglican Church, Tikitiki, north island, New Zealand, built 1924-26 as a memorial to Maori soldiers who fought and died in World War I.   Pulpit supported by Maori gods, a gift from the Te Arawa tribe.  Woven panels (tukutuku) on pulpit sides.  A member of the New Zealand Historic Places Trust.  Highway 35, Gisborne Region.
