Mutrah, Oman. An Arab dhow and traditional waterfront architecture denote the harbor of Mutrah, commercial port for Oman's capital, Muscat. Oman is the legendary home of Sindbad the Sailor. Behind the town are chocolate-brown ophiolites, a metamorphic, igneous rock. Compare to Mar72_Oman_37, taken February 1972, at end of this gallery.
